A FEW EXCUSES

Here are a few excuses:  I'm too busy.  I'm too tired.  It is too hot and humid.  It is too cold and windy.  I need to do this first.  I need to do that first.  My studio is too messy.  The house needs cleaning.  I have to get groceries.  I don't think I'm good enough.  I'm too good.  I don't want to do that by myself.  I don't want to do that with them.  The kids (spouse, parents, friends) need me to do something...  I've used all of these and others for one thing or another.  You probably have too.  We can't always control time, especially when we have commitments to family members, work, etc.  But we do make daily choices about how we use our time.  I have a very busy day today, with a long "to do" list.  I won't bore you with the details.  But I made time to go out painting this morning.  I had lots of excuses in my head of why I couldn't go, but I knew if I managed my time, I could make it work.  I'm so glad I did.  It was a glorious fall morning out by the marsh.  What excuses are holding you back?
